On August 9th we plan to drive to Cordoba from Seville then catch the AVE to Madrid. We're not sure exactly what time we will get to Cordoba and was wondering if we will be able to just walk up and buy train tickets that day when we get ready to head out to Madrid or will be have to decide on a departure time and order the tickets on line before we leave for out trip.

You should be fine with walk up tickets.

I agree with Frank. You should be able to walk up and purchase tickets. The station is well designed and the train ride is very good.

Thank you both very much. That puts my mind at ease. This is the first time we have traveled in a foreign country without a tour group. I am a little nervous but we are so looking forward to the independence.
