I'm planning a 10 day road trip throughout Southern Spain. At approx. €100 per day to rent a motorcycle, I'm thinking of just buying one from a second hand shop when I get there and trying to sell it when I leave. As long as I don't lose +€1,000 Euros on the transaction, I'll come out ahead. Couple of questions:
What is the ownership transfer process for buying/selling a motorcycle in Spain? Ideally I'd like to just quickly sign some pink slips. What are the license requirements to ride a motorcycle in Spain? I've currently got my full US motorcycle license, although I'm currently a resident of the UK and don't have a UK motorcycle license. At the time of the trip, my US license will still be valid. What are the insurance requirements? Can I buy 3rd party insurance ahead of time for that 10 day period before I actually own the bike? Any links to resources would be appreciated as well.

Do you have an NIE number? I strongly doubt you have and therefore your idea, sadly for you, is dead in the water.

Looks like I can get an NIE through the Spanish consulate in the UK. Assuming I get that done, do you have any insight to the other questions?
