Does anyone know how to find/get to the Plaza Eliptica Station to catch a bus to Toledo? We are staying at a hostal not far from the Prado (around the corner from the Westin Palace. Rick says there are direct buses 2/hour for 5 euro. Sounds good to me...but I can't get Google Maps to give me a route. Thanks for any insights.

We used the bus a couple of years ago. Got there off of the subway. Bus station on top of metro stop - Mendz Alvaro. Same area as train station.

We stayed at the Westin Palace in July. We took a train to Toledo, but I just wanted to tell you it is an easy walk to Atocha train station (if this is the same area as the bus station) from your hotel.

Thank you everyone. My understanding is the bus no longer leaves from the Mendz Alvaro stopwe need to get to Plaza Eliptica. I found a metro map since I posted my inquiry. Looks like the dot-to-dots take me from Atocha to Pacifico to the PL Eliptica. I appreciate your offers. Although in many ways a train is more comfortable, money/time-wise we'll be traveling on the bus (half the cost of the AVE/Avant).
