Bus ride from nurnberg to Prague

It appears that there are very few direct trains from Nurnberg to Prague. I'm a little concerned about the bus ride ( 3-4 hrs) to Prague from Nurnberg. Has anyone ridden the buses? Are they comfortable? Thanks.

Frank, from Colorado, formerly from Centennial, rode one last year and said it was fine - 1st and 2nd class seats, bathroom, snack bar, attendant. Those buses are run by the Bahn, and they are the fastest way. If you can commit and book early, you can get prices around €29/person. There are two direct trains per day each way between Nürnberg and Prague, and two with a short, dedicated connection in Schwandorf to a direct train coming from Munich. So four, total. They take a little longer, but, with a combination of Bayern-Ticket and a local Czech Rail ticket, it will cost less than the earliest purchased bus ticket, and the train tickets are always the same price, even if purchased just before travel (at least going from Nürnberg to Prague). Prague to Nürnberg requires pre-purchase of a Bayern-Ticket from German Rail, but could probably be done online).

I rode the bus. It's not like your average bus. It's very comfortable. It took only three hours, nonstop on the freeway. From the train station in Nurnberg to the train station in Prague.

The Bahn also offers the Prag-Spezial ticket for €52 per person round trip in 2nd on the trains, Nürnberg to Prague. The return trip can be as much as a month later. Again, no advance purchase required.

I just rode that bus last month. Assigned seats that recline like on a plane, attendant and snacks available. It wasn't bad at all.

I prefer buses over trains and often found that the buses were not only more comfortable (for me) but cheaper and quicker. I just took a bus from Prague to Vienna two weeks ago and was pleased again. The Student Agency buses have free wifi on the buses, complimentary coffee and hot chocolate, screens in the back of the seats with choices of music, movies or tv shows (in english too!) which made the trip go by quick. I watched a movie and browsed facebook, not so bad! however I think the bus is about 40 euros from Nurnberg to Prague which is one of the more costly trips I've seen. Here is the link to the bus that i'm speaking about in case you're interested. http://bustickets.studentagency.eu/

I, along with my family (including my then 7 yr old) actually took the bus the same day Frank from Colorado did. It is a very nice ride. We did get stopped as we entered Czech Republic. Police came on board the bus and checked everyone's passport. That was interesting.
