bus connections on DB routes?

We have purchased a twin rail pass for use in Germany. A few of the trips we have planned on www.bahn.de show that part of the trip is on a bus, not a train. Will our rail pass work for the whole trip?

Diane, perhaps Andreas can give you more current information, but in my experience the busses in Germany are usually part of the DB, if not always.
The miracle is that those busses can drive so well down those narrow country lanes!
