My girlfriend and I will be in Spain from July 27-August 10. We are hopping around the country, with 2 -3 nights each in Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, Granada, Ronda, and Sevilla. I really want to see a bullfight while over there. Where will be my best place to see one?
Bullfighting has been banned in Barcelona, so you won't see it there. In Madrid and other places, they are on Sundays only, mid-May through October. So it looks like your two chances will be wherever you are on the two Sundays you will be in Spain.
You may want to see a bullfight (actually six, if you stay the duration), but do you and especially your girlfriend know what to expect?
Yeah I know what to expect. I'm seen them on tv. Also, I'm an avid hunter and blood/death doesn't bother me.
Well good luck, as long as the lady is happy, I have seen many an upset.
No offense, but no ethical hunter - and I consider myself one - would do to an animal what happens in a bullfight. It's really a lot more like torture and the reason it has been banned in so many places.
Madrid and Seville will have the biggest names in both bulls and matadors. You'd have to check schedules to see who's where when. If a really big name is involved, shade tickets might be scarce.
There is nothing similar between an ethical hunt and a bull fight. They are disgusting, there is no honor in them at all.
We enjoyed the bullfights in Madrid. Don't forget that the capital city does draw the top talent. Why do people who are obviously against something feel that they must still post a statement? Enjoy the choices in life!
Bob, When you have seen the OP's and your compatriots in tears and sick, do you not think a warning to someone because they may have little or no grasp is unnecessary?
