Budget Lodging in Heidelberg?

We are looking for budget lodging (double room) in Heidelberg...a private room, hostel, etc. Or, if not in Heidelberg, since my initial research isn't turning up availability in the city, any suggestions for close by outside the city? Thanks! Megan

The "Etap Hotel Mannheim Sued Ost" in Mannheim Friedrichsfeld is only 9 minutes by train from Heidelberg (take RB trains, no S-Bahns). Price per room and night (for up to 3 people) is €41.
