I need a double room for 4 days in Paris for the latter part of November. Does anyone know of a budget hotel in the center of Paris?

It depends on how you define "budget hotel"--Hotel de l'Empereu was reasonably priced back in 2004 when 75 euros = $75. Now that 75 euros = $100+....oh well. The hotel is on the edge of the Rue Cler neighborhood, across the street from Hotel des Invalide (where I hear Napoleon sleeps cheap).

Hi Jim,
Below, is a link for Hôtel Esmeralda. It is located just across the Seine river from Notre Dame cathedral (you can't get more centrally located than that). This is an interesting old hotel with only 19 rooms. The room rates are comparatively low and cause the rooms to be booked pretty far in advance. Check the link below to get the opinions of former guests...
