We have 3 minutes between trains an Buchloe on the way down to Fussen. Looks like the platfrom are close but anyone have experience w/this schedule by chance? Thx

Here is the station plan for Buchloe. Looks like tracks 2 & 3 and 4 & 5 are cross platform from each other.
Looks like those connections are all (mostly?) between platforms 4 & 5, so it should be a cross platform connection.
In any case, for any train change, be aware of when you are getting to the station, move to the end of the car before the train stop, and get off as soon as possible. If you have a change of platforms, know in advance where you are going. Others will probably make the same connection. Stay with the herd. The conductor is on the platform watching people board and is not going to release the train until everyone is on board.

Three minutes is usually enough. Be ready to exit when the train stops.
This is a small station and each of these two trains' schedules are probably planned with the other in mind. I have made similar connections at other points in Germany. If one train is a little late, I have noticed that the second is often held (though not for long delays).
The trains on this route generally run every hour. In the rare case that a mechanical problem or whatever causes you to miss your connection, you will not have long to wait.
