Brussels public transportation question! Please help!

I'm going to be in Brussels in two weeks from now (my first time; it will be my first time in Europe in general, actually). Unfortunately I was careless and clueless when booking my hotel, and booked it all the way out in Ruisbroek, which I understand to be a hard-to-reach suburb in Brussels.
It's the Forrmule 1 Brussel Ring Zuid and the address is Humaniteitslaan 111,1601 RUISBROEK SINT-PIETERS-LEEUW,Belgium;
on google maps it's: http://maps.google.be/maps?f=q&hl=EN&q=Humaniteitslaan+111%2C1601+RUISBROEK+SINT-PIETERS-LEEUW%2CBelgium

I've been searching for hours on the internet today, but have no clue how to get to this place. I'm really worried that it's going to be completely unreachable by public transportation/foot, since there's a good chance of it being on a freeway/highway, being a "formula 1" hotel? (I wasn't aware of this stupidly when I was booking this place.)

I won't have a car, can't cancel this reservation (I'd lose 86 euros if I did), and was wondering if anyone could help out with info regarding directions, public transportation, costs of public transportation (or taxis-- though I'd like to avoid them if at all possible because I'll be very short on cash while traveling!) from Central Brussels?

Thanks so much!

Have no fear, Doris. Belgium has the most train track per square mile (or kilometer) of any country in the world, so you're never far from a railway station. In your case, the Formule 1 appears to be a couple of short blocks from the railway station in Ruisbroek...out Stationstraat then left on Humaniteitslaan....maybe 500 yards. Ruisbroek is a Brussels suburb to the southwest of downtown. Just go to any of the three main train stations and ask for a ticket to the town. Commuter trains run every half hour through all Brussels stations to Ruisbroek during the week, and once per hour on weekends. The trains will have the destination sign "Braine-Le-Comte," and the run takes 10-20 minutes, depending where you get on board. To get back into Brussels, take the same train in reverse (the trains will be labelled "Louvain," since that's their ultimate destination.) The cost is 1.90 Euro each way, altho if you're in Brussels long enough, you might want to consider a one-week rail card, which would cost 13.70 Euro.

See how wonderful this helpline is?! You were worried but now you know everything will be fine and dandy.

I'd like to point out, though, that if your fears had been confirmed, and you would have had to pay quite a bit of money for taxis, and time for transport, that it may have been worth it to lose that 86 euros and re-book elsewhere. Sometimes we get too worried about "losing" what we've put into something and forget what the true goal is. Have fun!
