Hi, On April 14th (Thursday, midweek) we are arriving at Brussels Midi from Paris around 1030. I am meeting friends at their hotel near Grand Place and I will need to get there ASAP. I know there are trams, but I'm wondering if my train ticket will cover a transfer on the train to the Central station from where I know can just walk down the hill to Grand Place? Or if I decided to just hop in a taxi, any idea of what it would cost me?
When you arrive at Midi, simply hop on to another train that will be going to Central, you don't need to purchase another ticket. There are trains every five minutes or so.
Even if your ticket from Paris didn't cover the very short ride, they don't check tickets until the trains leave the city anyway. Just grab the next train heading east (Luchthaven, Leuven, Diest, Hasselt, Liege/Luik) or north (Mechelen, Antwerp).
