My wife and I are going to be in Brussels and Bruge/Ghent in about 2 weeks. We are looking for names/links to local guides. We have always enjoyed the local guides on the Rick Steves tours we have taken. any help would be great. also if you have any can't miss things in these towns that would be great as well thanks Bob

Rick's books include contact information for local guides, so if you like the ones he's used on tours, I'd start with his listings.

If you're interested in WWI history, you may want to investigate the Quasimodo Flanders Field Tour offered in Bruges. It's owned by a husband/wife team.

Have you looked on Trip Advisor? Go to the Brussels and/or the Bruges forums, and then at the top of the page there is a Things To Do section. There you will find tour listings. You can visit the websites of the different companies, read the reviews, and also ask questions about these tours on the forums. There are about 15 tour listings for Brussels, and about 18 for Bruges.
