I have 4 nights in Brussels in October. I like the Vismarkt area. I have stayed in the Hotel Noga before, and it is fine. But Hotel Welcome around the corner looks really interesting, and comparably priced. Anyone stayed in both hotels and, if so, which would you recommend and why?
We've only stayed in the Welcome and have liked it. The owner is very personable and is on-site nearly all the time. He will also pick you up at the airport if you don't have a car. Breakfast is good, too. Nancy
The Welcome is a really unique place. I've never stayed in a hotel like it. It's just really, well, welcoming! Plus the whole exotic decor of the rooms is fun. It's quiet, friendly, just really a unique experience. Yeah a hotel bed on vacation is just a place to sleep but if all else is equal why not pick a place where you'll also have a good experience?
