I will second JB's recommendation of Hotel 't Keizershof in Brugge. 44 Euros a night for a double that includes a filling breakfast is an amazing deal. The couple who run the B & B are quite charming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there.

We spent the weekend at Hotel Adornes. Very nice hotel and the owners are very friendly. They offer free use of bikes and free underground parking down the street.

If you stay at Absoluut Verhulst, you will never want to leave. It is #4 on tripadvisor for B&Bs in Bruge. They do a great breakfast. We went in winter so our room rate was cheaper than other times. IN Rothenburg, we stayed at the Gasthof Griffener, which had a great breakfast. We also stayed in the Hotel Kloster-Stueble, which was incredibly charming and had a great breakfast.

In Bruges, we stayed at a delightful family-run hotel just a short distance from the old centre of town. Hotel Patritius

Very friendly, clean and helpful.

In Bruges we stayed at here: www.bedandbreakfastbruges.com it is a start contrast to the city as it is ultra modern which we enjoyed. They had a great filling breakfast and it is centrally located. The owners are friendly and even took us to the train station when we left. I believe we paid 60 euros in early September.

We stayed at the Hotel Fevery and it was fine. Reasonably priced, simple but nice breakfast, nice area.

On VRBO check out the apt called "Brugestheloft". We loved it. Fantastic location about a block from the central plaza. Great apt and they furnish goodies for breakfast the first day and supplies for an evening meal also. I'd love to go back and you just can't beat the location for convenience.

We stayed at Absolute Verhulst B&B. It's in Rick's book. The hosts were wonderful. Even got up extra early to pack a breakfast to go. We had a loft room, which had lots of room for our family.

It is Maggie (the owner) that makes it so great! One of the most warmest, friendliest, charming persons you will ever meet. The accommodations were so clean and warm. Location is 5 min walk to the center.
