My husband and I are planning a long weekend in these three cities. We will arrive in Bruges around noon, spend the day/dinner then head to Gent for a late check in. Spend Saturday night in Gent and leave for Brussels Sunday morning till Monday. We are not really into going to museums, more or less use Ricks walks to see the city, hit the main sights and eat. My question is whether this timeline is realistic and what we should expect with it being Easter weekend in terms of closures?
Thanks for your input!
In 2009, I arrived in Bruges on Good Friday and departed Monday morning. Sights, chocolate shops, and restaurants were all pretty much open as normal. Keep in mind that Bruges is a town that caters to tourists, so I'm not sure that you will have the same experience elsewhere.
