I am currently in Amsterdam and have been here some weeks. It's time to move on. I've never been to Bruges and this would be a good time to go. Does anyone have recommendations on places to stay? It's just me and I'm watching my dollar....shrink that is.

Try Lybeer Travellers' Hostel. You can get a single room with a private bath for 38 Euro and it includes breakfast in the rate. If you are willing to share a bathroom with other rooms, the rate is 25 Euro.
Excellent location on a quiet street - easy walking distance to/from train station and all the sights.
