My wife and I are staying in Dinan and would like to take a quick tour of Brittany for one day. We will end up at Mont St Michel in the evening. Are we trying to do too much by leaving Dinan early in the morning and arriving at Mont St. Michel in the evening before the tides come up?
Assuming we only have one day, what areas should me concentrate on?
I'm not sure it's possible to tour an entire region of France in one day. You wouldn't try to tour New Jersey in a day, would you? Bretagne has so much heritage and culture...you could concentrate on a city such as Rennes, or wander around looking at menhirs.
It's usually better to see a large amount in one small place than to see a small amount of a large place.
Ending the day in Mont Saint Michel...that sounds terrific, though! I hope you have fun.
