We had such a great time last year in Paris and Provence that we're now hooked on France ! This year thinking of up north. With just a week which would you choose ? Enough time to see both areas ? Merci beaucoup !
I think you could do it either way. There's lots to see in either place, but they are close and you could get a taste of both. You'll probably want a car--pick up in Rouen, drop off in Rennes?.
Having been to both, my choice would be Normandy..Bayeux, Mont St Michel, Honfluer, & the D-Day beaches are hard to beat.
The most impressive site of all may just be the American Cemetery At St Laurent, overlooking Omaha Beach. However, I may be biased, since my Uncle Nick is buried there.
I totally agree with Jim. I'd pick Normandy and really enjoy it. A week goes by very quickly. Normandy is our absolute favorite area in France. We especially love driving the country roads and exploring. It is magical!
Oct 20006 we did Normany and Brittany (Dinan) with a car. Incl Mt ST Michel also. Honfleur (1), Bayeux & D Day(2Nights, Mt ST Michelle (1), Dinan (1)then add 2 nights along the route. Bon Voyage it is lovely.
