My family of 8 wishes to rent accomodations next year in Brittany region of FRance. We would welcome suggestions on best time of year to visit; best town to use as center for our stay; and rental properties/agencies. Some younger members of the family will be coming along so the town needs to have some action (pubs, etc) at night. Thanks for information.

Summer is the best time for Brittany. The south coast near Vann is more likely to get sun than the north or west. Coming from Miami, you might enjoy the clouds and mist. Gites de France regroups, inspects, and cerifies thousands vacation rentals throughout France. Brittany is a popular vacation spot, so you may want to start looking now. The further west you go, the more theculture evolves toward Celtic.

Try letriskel.co.uk We rented a very old restored house/apartment in the old town Dinan through them last summer. It was awesome. They have a nice inventory of houses in Brittany.
