a) Anyone with recommendations for a touring company for a day trip (or overnight trip) to Dinan / St. Malo (and surrounds)? We prefer to use the TGV to Rennes and then pick up a tour from there.
b) ParisLink/DiscoverBrittany appears to have a tour that might meet our needs -- but I've found no posted feedback on this company good or bad.
What are you trying to see in Brittany. My suggestion would be to not stay around the St. Malo area. (Dinan is nice though) as it is just a little too touristy, and English.
If you have the time take the train to Quimper, rent a car and follow the coast west and south. This is where you are going to find the "authentic" brittany. Old villages, stunning coast, old farmsteads and yummy crepes.
If you decide to go this route PM me and I will send you the name of some villages to plan your route. This is where we spend most of our time in France, as this is where the family lives.
