I finally found a hotel, thanks to help from someone here. But, it's on the other side of the Rhine from where we will be getting off the boat and am wondering if they have a bridge or auto ferry across it? I can't tell by any maps I've seen. It's on a big event night so I'm wondering if the ferrys will be running late into the night, if there is no bridge?

Are you getting to the hotel at 12:30, or getting there earlier and coming back at 12:30? Small places will usually give you the key to a back or side door to come in after hours.

I don't think there is a bridge. There is a Ferry (why would there be a ferry if there were a bridge?). Looks like the auto ferry carries passengers late at night on weekends and makes runs from Rüdesheim to Bingen at 12:30 and 1:00 AM.

We will pick up the key earlier in the day, but I'm now wondering if we won't have a way to even get to the hotel at that time of night.

Do you know if the hotel is near the ferry dock? I doubt if you will find a taxi, unless you arrange it with the hotel.

"The boat"?? If you mean the K-D cruise boat, it should stop in Rüdesheim after/before Bingen. Maybe this is some special event boat???
No bridge - you'll have to ferry across if you arrive in Bingen.

Thanks everyone, I decided to just change the hotel, once I found one on booking.com that had available rooms. The cruise was Rhine in Flames and ends at 12:30 am, only giving us 30 minutes to leave the boat, find our car and drive to the ferry. I've found a hotel on the same side of the Rhine river as Rudesheim, just further away. I just hope booking.com is reliable.
