Here's more information you can't find online or in guide books. Both of these cruise ship stops claim to have a local bus from the terminal to the center of town. Not so. Bremerhaven has one sometimes but not all the time and nobody knows when it runs. You have to take a taxi or the ship's shuttle which is overpriced. The terminal has no ATM but at least they take Euros so if you've already been in the EU, you can pay the taxi. Goteborg's terminal is non-existant. You dock in the middle of a giant industrial complex which is gated and a good 1/2 hour drive from the city itself. The only way into town is by taxi (which you have to arrange in advance) or buy the ship's shuttle.
