Hello.
We will be arriving in FRA at about 7 AM a week from Sunday, then taking a train to the Middle Rhine. Is there anyplace at the airport that offers better-than-airport-average food for breakfast before we head to the airport train station? We're flying in coach on United, so not expecting them to roll out a tasty breakfast before we land. Thanks in advance for your time.
The Marche' Cafe' which is in Terminal 1, Arrivals B-1 offers very fresh, and high quality menu items. A bit pricey, but they bake all their products themselves on site. This includes the mixing, etc. and not just baking off frozen baked goods like so many bakeries here do. Lots of fresh fruit, and eggs to order. Very comfortable seating area. The escalator down to the Regional Train station is in this same Arrivals section. Another choice is the Kemps Bakery which also has very good baked goods, fruit cups, joghurts and coffees. It is right next to that same escalator. They have tables here. You could also take the escalator in B-1, or A-1, down to the train station level and a little bit past that, is a fairly large food court. There you will find Mc Donalds, bakeries, and Dean & Daves, a newish cafe' here in Frankfurt with several locations and nice, freshly make products, like wraps, etc.
These both sound delightful. Would that there were any decent options at CDG! I finally learnedmy lesson not even to be able to expect a Paul pain au chocolat after clearing security in most terminals!! (that's when traveling out of here,I mean).
