In France now and have unexpected 1.5 day stop in Bordeaux with 2 teenagers in tow. What should we do? Staying 1 night at a hotel. Is that enough time to visit a winery? Suggestions much appreciated!

Your teenagers might be impressed by the Dune de Pilat, if you can rent a car to get there. It is 60 kms from Bordeaux and the highest dune in Europe. You can climb it ... I didn't but I wanted to. You could also visit Arcachon while you are at it.

Bordeaux is a fairly largish place and give no hint where you are. Have you tried going into the TI and asking them? It may take some time for us here to respond whereas a TI can answer instantly, and with current information relative to your town or village. Or have you asked your hotel desk or concierge?
