The guide book does not have any hotel recommendations for bordeaux (the city) do you have any suggestions?

Kathi - We really liked the Hotel Tour Intendance in Bordeaux. Rooms were small but staff is friendly, location is good, and price is reasonable.

We stayed in Hotel Majestic for 90 euros in June last year. Perfect location with small rooms and a professional staff. A business hotel mostly. We surprisingly enjoyed Bordeaux but if you are touring the wineries I highly recommend a car with GPS

I stayed at the Acanthe Hotel: http://www.acanthe-hotel-bordeaux.com/uk/cadre.php It was right behind the Place de la Bourse, and the room and bathroom were relatively large. I had a view of a back alley, and the cell phone signal was weak (I had to leave the room to make a call), but the WiFi signal in the room was strong. I'd stay there again.
