Hello, Plan on arriving in Boppard by KD boat, and want to get to the Sesselbahn from there. We will be traveling with my 78 year old mother, whose in good shape, but was wondering if there were any transportation options besides walking from the dock to the chairlift (and, on the way back, from the chairlift to the train station). I have researched this via Google Maps, and it appears to be about a 1 km walk from dock to lift. If walking is the only way, any tips or reports on the path would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and expertise!

I don't know if there are any transport options other than walking, but the route is almost completely flat.

The Bahn website shows a bus, #615, from "Boppard Hbf" to "Sesselbahn, Boppard". The bus takes 2 min but only runs a few times a day, 12:05 and 13:05 to the Sesselbahn and 12:13 and 16:20 back. The walk to the Bahnhof from the dock takes 15 min and is a little uphill, and to the Sesselbahn from the dock take 17 min. Might as well walk.

Thank you both for your input. Think we'll change our schedule somewhat and arrive in Boppard by train. Looks like a shorter walk than from the K-D pier. Thanks again!
