Has anyone been to Boom Chicago in Amsterdam? Did you like it? We are staying near the Hague and will have a car. I am wondering if it is better to take the train in for the evening show -- or drive and park nearby. We would have 4-6 adults going to the show. We will probably spend another full day in Amsterdam on a different day. Just wondering if it would be worth coming back for one evening.
I've been to the show a couple of times, and loved it. In the world of American comedy Boom Chicago, is up there with Second City Chicago, the Groundlings LA, and UCB NYC. Many of there performers have gone on to star on Mad TV and SNL.
One should never drive into Amsterdam, it's not worth the hassle, or the DWI risk. There are trains to Amsterdam Centraal every 10 minutes, journey time is 1 hour. From Amsterdam Centraal simply take a taxi to the Comedy Club.
Glad to hear that you liked it. Sounds like train it is!
Did you eat there? If we don't eat there, what time do you supposed we would have to get there for good seats.
I've never eaten there. There are a zillion restaurants in the immediate area. All the seating at the comedy club is reserved. Book ahead of time via the website, or as soon as you arrive at the box office inside the pub.
We went several years ago and it really was lot of fun! My nephew was picked from the audience to participate and that made it even more so!
