Yes, It's hilarious! Although it may be slightly less hilarious these days now that George W is out of office;) In the comedy world Boom is as important as Second City in Chicago, The Groundlings in LA, and the UCB in NYC. Many cast members have gone on to star on SNL and Mad TV. An observation, some Brits that go to the shows don't seem to get humor, as the comedy done by American performers with an American style of comedy.

Some other night time activities include simply going to the movies. At Munstplien, the Pathe Cinema chain opertates two multiscreen cinemas on opposite corners. Combined there are about 35 screens showing a huge selection of films from US box office hits to independent/art house, and even the occasional vintage classics. With the exception of films meant for children, English language films will always be subtitled in Dutch. A surprising number of Hollywood films open in Europe before they are released in the US. Their website is www.pathe.nl It's in Dutch but if you play around with it you should be able to figure it out. Under "bioscopen" select either Pathe de Munt or Pathe Tuschinski.

I saw a performance of 'Yankee Come Back' in April, it was a pretty good time. Some of the show was scripted, i think most was improv (or at least very loosely scripted).
Boom is right in the middle of the leidsplein so the location is awesome too!

I'd recommend it. Drinks prices are pretty decent, good service, hang out with the comedians during the intermission and its pretty funny too.

We went to Boom Chicago & thought it was hilarious! You can have dinner & then the show, or just buy tix to the show. The leidsplein (sp?) plaza where Boom Chicago is located is a wonderful place to sit & relax with a meal and/or drinks.
