What is the best way to check availability and book a Parador in Spain. The websites I have found either make you submit a request and will email you later, or make you give credit card info without knowing the availabilty on your requested date. Is there a way to call directly? BTW, looking at the Carmona Parador for a 1 night stay October 2, 3, or 4th.

I booked online on the"official" website with no difficulty. http://www.parador.es/en/portal.do I did register as a "friend" (amiga) but that is not necessary to make a booking.
