Did you see this book ? The title of the book is "Paris". The author of the book is Madelaine Mautoro (spelling ?). Published by CHARTWELL BOOKS (a division of Book Sales Inc.). I saw the book yesterday, for sale in a Barnes & Nobles book store : "Bargain Priced" at $ 9.98.
I recommend this book, for persons who want to see many good big photographs (mostly color) of Paris. (I am not professionally involved with Barnes & Nobles, or with the book's publisher).
I think this is the 'Timeless Paris' book we got at Costco for the same price. We also picked up Timeless London', different author, same format, but didn't get the Venice one as I already had several others. It's fun to look for places you've been, and have as an inexpensive memento.
Come to Paris - make your own book....
It may be tad more on the price ticket - but the memories will be so much richer!
I go often to Paris but still like books to remind me of my favorite city. Some I like are...
1. Paris then & now, by Peter & Oriel Caine. Photos taken in the 18th & 19th c along with a current photo. It's interesting to see how little change has taken place in some of these.
2. Paris. text by Soraya Elyes Ferchichi, photos by Heiko Lanio. B&W photos.
3. Paris. by judith Mahoney Pasternak. Timeless Places series.
4. Cafe Life Paris by Christine & Dennis Graf. It's a guidebook which I bought for the pictures.
5. The Brasseries of Paris by Francois Thomazeau (same as above).
6. 360 degree Paris by Nick Wood is kinda fun.
I'm getting older & not sure how much longer I'll travel. Picture books are great. B&N is on my to-do list this am. I'll look for this book. Thanks Ron.
