Does anyone have any good info about cheap, but good boat tours in Paris?
There are several companies that run tours up the Seine and back. Prices vary depending on meals served, etc. There's also Batobus that runs up and down the Seine to let you on and off to see the sites.
A tour I really enjoyed and have posted about here before is the Canal St. Martin tour. It begins on the quay below the Musee d'Orsay and then motors up the Seine past Notre Dame, so you see most of the same sites from the river as you would from Bateaux Mouches.
Then the boat turns to enter the Canal St. Martin and goes through series of locks through the neighborhoods of northeastern Paris. It takes about 2 1/2 hours, is quite reasonable for fares and is a very relaxing way to see a part of Paris most tourists miss.
