I usually go on the fly looking for restaurants at dinner time and enjoying reading the menus as we go along but my daughter's birthday (25) will be while we're in Salzburg and she's a foodie so I'd like to ensure we have a nice place picked out that night. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Here is a thought. We stayed at the Der Salzburger Hof for several days. It has a surprisingly excellent Indian restaurant. It is near the train station, not in the old town. The quality of the cuisine was way above the average Indian food.

Thanks for the ideas. The mozart concert dinner looked great, but unfortunately it runs Tuesday through Saturday and her birthday is on the Monday and the other two days we're staying in Salzburg, we will be coming back too late in the day to attend. My daughter loves Indian, but unfortunately, it's the only food type that my stomach can't seem to handle so
if anyone has any other suggestions, please forward.
