Biking in the BO Area?

Hello All

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a fairly easy biking route in the area. I am reading the Rick Steve's book and not sure which of his recommended routes is easy. My main concern is not having a lot of downhill riding. I am considering the route from Lauterburren to Interlaken. Any comments? (We are staying for a week in Hotel Staubbach in Lauterburren Valley, the last week of July.)

I'm not sure how wide the road is as you start into the valley but it is very scenic (we've seen it from the train). It's not too steep. Also, from Lauterbrunnen, it's a very nice ride further into the valley to Stechelberg. Very easy there.

Simran, The Hotel Staubbach is a great choice! My husband and son did the ride from Lauterbrunnen to Interlaken. They said it was fairly gentle, a little up and down, but nothing strenous. They did have trouble finding where the trail starts in Lauterbrunnen. The folks who own/run the Staubbach are very friendly and helpful. I'm sure they will give you some advice, and help you figure out where the trail begins.

Simram , i also remember that there is a bike rental shop that offer some bike tours right in lauterbrunnen, maybe they could give you some suggestions.

The route from Lauterbrunnen to Interlaken does have some steep hills, particularly the road to the immediate south of Interlaken up into the valley. Within the valley floor, the inclines are more managable.
