we will arrive in Rothenburg late Sunday morning and wondered about renting bikes, any one have success?

Here's the website for the cycle rental place. I don't think they're open Sunday's though.

Bikes are great to explore the country side. However, you won't enjoy using them IN Rothenburg. Cobblestone, narrow streets and crowds of people aren't friends with bikes ...

If you're just going to be wandering around the town there really isn't a need for bikes. The town is actually quite small and very walkable. If you want to go out on the countryside a bit I guess you may want some bikes for that.
