I have bike a bit in Europe.

I have bike across Austria and I used a touring company that you can go on your own or with a group.

I did it alone and biked from the German border to Vienna. It took a week.
The guest houses were great. They were nice little hotels.

If alone they supply bikes and will transport your luggage to a hotel they set up for your.

One idea: If you are renting a bicycle there--or even if you aren't--I would ask the rental shop for suggestions. They are knowledgeable and friendly to cyclists.
