Has anyone gone on the Bike about tours in paris? Did you like it? Was the food included in the price? What's covered on the twilight tour? It looks interesting I'd just like to know if it's worth the 35 bucks a person.
I have done the Fat Tire Bike Tours in Paris. One was a nightime bike and then a boat cruise, and we enjoyed it so much we signed up for Versailles the next day!!
I don't know about the company you mentioned, but Fat Tire Bike Tours is a well known company that was started by an American and uses Americans mostly for guides, aged about 25-35, fun , energetic, very social, and with enough local knowledge to make the trips very fun.
I didn't want to go on a bike tour, a friend talked me into it, now I can't wait to do it again.
Google for their site, you don't have to book ahead for the night tour, we just showed up at the ET like they said, and off we went. It was totally worth the 25 euros to us.
I have also done the Fat Bike evening ride with the boat ride.
Mine did not include food (we did stop to buy ice cream) It did include the boat ride and wine....
I enjoyed it and thought it was worth the cost.
How safe are the bike tours for teenagers?
Are there bike tracks the whole way, or do you ride in traffic.
Thinking of the tours for our 16 yr olds.
We would love to join in but how fit, bike savy do you need to be, as we are 50?

I am in your age bracket and not terribly fit, it is easy. Your 16 yr olds will also find it easy and fun, and it seemed very safe to me, I am considering taking my 12 yr old on it this summer( the day trip) .
We did a Fat Tire day tour last summer and the group was huge and the guide was obnoxious, but we still felt the tour was worthwhile. We're going again this summer and plan to do a Bike About Tour night tour (after reading about them in the Guidebook Feedback section of this site), which promises smaller groups. So I too would be interested in any feedback on Bike About Tours.
Well actually, I was talking about BIKE ABOUT TOURS specificaly, by the way, it said they stop places like the eiffel tower and stuff, but do they actualy go up it?
I have done bike tours in New York, Berlin, Munich, and Paris. I do them with my children. We like to ride bikes, but these tours are slow paced and there are a lot of stops to give out information. I really enjoy getting a feel for each city right after we arrive by doing the bike tour. The Paris Fat Tire Tour does go on the city streets at times, but I never felt unsafe, and my children were only 11 and 15 when we rode in that one. I am not familiar with the tour you are asking about though.
