Biarritz to Normandy Dday sites then Paris?

Best way to get my family of four from Biarritz to Normandy D-Day sites then on to Paris. We have two nights unplanned between Biarritz and Paris. We will have rented a car in Bordeaux when we arrive. What should we do? Biarritz 4 nights (with friends) two nights unplanned
three nights in Paris (with reservations Montparnasse area) Drive, fly, train?

Driving from Biarritz to Bayeux will be faster than taking the train because you won't have to go via Paris. However, you'll have to pay tolls to drive on the autoroutes (freeways). If you will be taking a guided tour of the D-Day sights and won't need your car in Normandy, then I suggest that you take the train. Booked well in advance (up to three months allowed) at tgv-europe.com, you can get Prem's fares as low as €25.00 for Biarritz-Paris and €15.00 for Paris-Bayeux.
