Where to visit between Barcelona and Paris over the Christmas holiday? I want to minimize train stops. Only have 1-2 days. First time to France and Spain.

Paris! But it depends on what you want to do with your time. I've gone to Brittany five years in a row, for Christmas. Made sure to spend a couple days in Paris each time. Lovely.

I'm a little unclear about your question. Are you trying to say you will be going from Barcelona to Paris and are looking for a place to stop on the way?

Where to visit in France between our stop in Barcelona and Paris? It will be the day after Christmas for a max. of 2 nights. We want to take advantage of the AVE train. Thinking Lyon or Nimes? Any suggestions?
