Looking for quickest most efficient way to get to Salzburg. Seems flying into Munich and take train to Salzburg is quickest. Anybody have a better way?

You could also fly into Salzburg.

Buy a 'Bayern Ticket' at the airport (single € 22, 2 people € 26, etc) & take the S-bahn #8 to the Munich Ost station. Catch a regional train from there to Salzburg. Heck of a deal...... http://www.munich-touristinfo.de/Bavaria-Ticket.htm

Fly into Munich and train to Salzburg. You can also fly into Salzburg.
