Hello, I will be in Bavaria at the beginning of June. I have already reserved tickets for Neuschwannstein (fearing the dreaded lines) but have not had success with Linderhof. Their website allows one to print a form and send it in for reservations (by airmail to Germany). This seems like more hastle than it's worth. Any advice on the amount of lines at Linderhof Castle early in the morning on Friday June 3?? Kaye,

No one is going to be able to predict Friday June 3, but I can advise you that on Friday, October 5, 2007, there were no lines. And that was the last weekend of Oktoberfest.

Linderhof is cool- good call- think tour buses find it too far. Save your mental energy for the trek up the hill or take a carriage up to Neuschwanstein.

We just dropped in and got tickets. No waiting. I actually never even thought about trying to reserve (although I did for Neuschwanstiein) but it really wasn't crowded. It was well worth the trip!!
