What is the best way to get to London from Rome? The train is going to take far too long.
Is there a airline that you recommend?
What air port would I have to leave from?
I am guessing it is not Di Vinci. This is going to be for May 30, 2008. Thanks
Even if you only need a one-way check for roudtrips as they are much, much cheaper (usually from €99). Your fictional "return" flight should be around 7 to 10 days after your real outbound flight. This goes for network carriers like BA, Lufthansa, Alitalia. On the low cost websites stick with one-ways. Check with ba.com, lufthansa.com, swiss.com, airberlin.com, ryanair.com (they fly ciampino to stansted though), germanwings.com, tuifly.com etc.
Add www.easyjet.com to Andreas's list of budget airlines that fly Rome-London. In this case it's Ciampino-Gatwick.
Tim is right, I simply forgot. In the cases of Ryanair and Easyjet DO READ the fine print on baggage allowance CAREFULLY!
Last year my one-way flight on BA from Rome to London was only a few dollars more than a flight on a discount airline.
For some of the options, go to sidestep.com and put in 'ROM' and 'LON' as the airport codes. This will show you many (but not all) options between the various airports in the 2 cities.
