Best Way to get from Latin Quarter to CDG

We are leaving in 3 days for Europe. Final stay is in Paris at a hotel in the Latin Quarter. What is the best way to get to CDG for our departure home? We are a familly of 4. All with one 21" suitcase. Our flight home leaves around 11:30 A.M. We are looking forward to many great experiences thanks to this helpline!

I always have the hotel arrange a shuttle & I've never had a problem. I decide what time I want to get to the airport, & let the hotel know. The hotel clerk passes that time on to the shuttle company. If I'm asked what time my flight leaves by the hotel clerk or shuttle driver, I always tell them an hour earlier than it actually leaves as I would rather wait than be rushed.
Regarding a taxi, can 4 people get into 1 taxi. If so, it might be the cheapest, easiest transportation if you can share. I've done the RER once from the airport to my hotel & found it difficult - lots of steps & walking all the time pulling/carrying my suitcase. Even tho I travel lite, I don't think I'd do it again. Last time, I use the Roissy bus & liked it.

We used to always stay in the Latin Quarter. Here are my experiences:

A cab is the best, but costs about 60 E plus a bag fee. However, the cab was on time and got us right to the airport.

One year we booked a shuttle to save time. He was latepicking us up, stopped to pick up other passengers who were not ready, so we were really late getting to CDG. THEN he dropped us off at the wrong terminal. We almost did not make the plane.

With this experience, I would choose a cab.

The RER train Line B (regional express) runs right through the heart of the Latin Quarter.

I always stay in the Latin Quarter when in Paris and I always use the RER from/to CDG. It's more dependable than a taxi driver, and it's also a quicker ride. (No traffic stops). Since you all only have 1 suitcase each, it will be a snap. One-way fare is 8E20 each.

They are very slow at CDG processing departing passengers through security so you need to be on the train around 8 a.m. from the Latin Quarter for your 11:30 a.m. departure from CDG. Be sure to read the electronic overhead display at the departure station; you want the train that lists CDG as a destination. ((If your hotel is not right on the RER line, you can connect to the RER station from (any) Metro station.))

Bon voyage!

Linda - if you provide a bit more details - i.e. which street you will be on - I can give you better information.

Which day is the return flight?
