I'm catching an EasyJet commuter flight down in the morning for a tattoo by an artist that I'm really, really into. I know it's kind of far, but it's only an hour and a half by plane, and I got that sorted. I figure, I'm getting into Toulouse around 9:30 a.m. and my tattoo appointment's at 1, so that's time to navigate my way to the neighborhood I need to be in, maybe check out a couple of daytime sights. However, my lodging is in Paris and I'm not in France for that long, so I'd like to get back in the evening and I figured taking the train and seeing the country from the window would be pretty cool and perhaps make me feel like I'm in a Hemingway story or something. But the rail systems confuse me. What is a relatively cheap but I-won't-get-stranded way to get back to Paris by rail by, say, 5? I can always catch a commuter flight back, but that's no fun. Clarification: Leave Toulouse at like 5! Not be back in Paris. That would give me around two hours and defeat the point :)
5 in the morning the next day? Because for 5 p.m., e.g. 17:00 o'clock, you'd have to leave by 11 a.m. It's a 5-1/2-hour trip.
There is a direct TGV that leaves Toulouse-Matabiau at 16:50 and arrives at Gare Montparnasse in Paris at 22:33.
I meant that I wanna leave Toulouse around 5 p.m.! Thanks for the advice, guys.
