best way to buy Euros

who knows what the best deal is these days to exchange,purchase or access Euros while in France...given the value of the US dollar...last I checked...1.55...

This topic has been discussed alot. Do you mean getting Euros before leaving the states?? Typically getting the euros when you get there is what I do. However, these posts may answer some questions:

Karen: The basic answer is to get a good debit card. WaMu charges only 1% for cash withdrawals. But things can change quickly. Call around and get the best debit card you can. This topic has been covered extensively on this website. Get 2 cards from different banks just in case one of your cards is eaten by an ATM. Credit cards tend to charge 3% for cash advances. And some charge more for small withdrawals.
