This will be my 1st trip to France. I will be arriving in Paris via Eurostar on a Friday Morning in July. And I was wondering, what the easiest way of getting to the Rue Cler neighborhood from Gare du Nord. Staying at the Hotel du Champ de Mars
Take the 4 train towards Porte d'Orleans, transfer at Strasbourg/St. Denis
Take the 8 train towards Balard and get off Ecole .
Maybe someone has a better way than this?
Any idea how many EUROS it would cost to reach Rue Cler by TAXI?
Orv: You can determine that on this site
You can buy a carnet of metro tickets in St. Pancras station. It is far easier than dealing with it once you get to Paris.
I stayed at the Hotel Derby in the Rue Cler district last June. There were 4 of us so we decided to take a taxi because of the steps on the metro. The taxi ride with tip was almost $40. It was worth it to me because i didn't have to deal with the luggage, etc. I called the cab ahead of time so that they came with a larger vehicle. Worked out really well!
