Any advice on which towns in Provence would be best for pick-up and drop-off rental car. We are training in from Italy and out to Barcelona. Using car in Cotes du Rhone and Luberon. Thanks!

Hard to say without knowing how long you've got, but getting a car in Nice and dropping it at Avignon TGV station might work for you. From Nice, drive to the Luberon then on to Chateauneuf-du-Pape, etc. Allow time for Avignon and Pont du Gard.
