Our family will be spending three months in the Netherlands while my husband completes some training for his job. We have been given the option of traveling there January through March or July through September. Does anyone have any input, positive or negative, for these times?
Hi, Summer!
Well, IMHO, there is no bad time to visit the Netherlands.
However... Seeing as how your name is "Summer"... You should know that it can get pretty nippy there in the winter time!
When I landed at Schipol in March of '04, they had just had their worst snowstorm in 20 years. (See my photos of it at: picturetrail.com/bepineurope )
That having been said, any time in the Netherlands is a whole bunch better than any time in my home town! :-)
Have fun. Tot ziens!
I agree with Bob...anytime is a good time to be in the Netherlands.
I've been there in the summer and the winter and loved it both ways. However, I kind of liked winter better because there are less crowds...
Have fun!
We were in Amsterdam in late March-early April and the weather was fine. A bit chilly, but a light-wt. jacket was all we needed. We had mostly sunny days, too.
