We will be traveling from Nice to Paris the end of May/beginning of June. What is the most scenic route to take? We have planned for 2 nights en route either at the same area or 2 different. Looking for recommendations on area/s to stay en route. Thanks!

Most posters will ask you what you want to see and do along the route from Nice to Paris. It is helpful to have some information. Do you have a car or will you take the train? That makes a difference! Do you have a budget? Are you intereted in historical sights or natural beauty? I am sure you will get lots of posters and I will try to follow-up with information from my experiences but we also need a little help! Thanks!

Novice poster! Here are some added details that could be helpful knowing for replies. We are a middle-aged couple traveling with our young adult daughter. We will be picking up a car in Nice with the hope of leaving the area mid afternoon enroute to Paris. We have 2 nights on the road and do not need to be in Paris till late afternoon on the 3rd day. We enjoy quaint towns/the beauty of the countryside and having the chance to experience the local flavors on a low-moderate budget. We are open to various accommodations (private room, apartment, hostels, bnb's).
