I am looking for a nice place to stay in Frankfurt. We would like to stay near or in the Old Town.

Not sure what your budget would be, or dates of travel, but these are my usual suggestions. Public transportation is easy, so not far to travel if you want to visit all of the museums, churches, historic sites, or shopping. For this area, though differing in styles and prices: Spener Haus, Hotel Mirimar, Nizza Hotel, Westin, Hilton, Adina Apts. Unique, but over in Sachsenhausen: Hotel am Berg Westend, which is a beautiful residential area:
Beethoven Hotel, Dirazi Guesthouse, Liebig Hotel, Hotel Goelz

THE best hotel in Frankfurt near old town clearly is the 7* Jumeirah. https://www.jumeirah.com/en/hotels-resorts/frankfurt/jumeirah-frankfurt/ You'd have to travel to the United Arab Emirates to receive such quality in hospitality otherwise. Also note the view from their rooms...

Thank you for your replies. I am following up on your suggestions. I usually stay in 4 to 5 star hotels because I like to be spoiled but I like places with character. I have good suggestions for Amsterdam and Dubrovnik and Mali Ston, Croatia and Munich but haven't been in Frankfurt. Each summer we travel to Croatia to visit family but stay somewhere on the way home or on the way there. Thanks again for the post!
