We are spending five nights in Belgium in late Augustthree nights in Brugge and two nights in Brussels. We will day trip to Ghent from Brugges, and probably spend our time in Brussels seeing the city. Any recommendations for a good location (near the Grand place?) or hotel would be appreciated! We liked Les Ecrins (http://www.lesecrins.com/en/) - it's near the St. Catherine Metro stop and a quick walk to the Grand Place. We were upgraded to an apartment which was really roomy and comfortable! We'd return!

We stayed at the Novotel by the Grand Palace. The location was great. We booked with breakfast included and it was a great value. They also have 3 computers in lobby for free. We enjoyed the hotel.

Joy, You might have a look at Hotel Aris, as it's extremely close to Grand Place and easy walking distance from Brussels Central station. Happy travels!
